Forgotten NY does it again by hipping me to the existence of yet another Brooklyn movie-theater-turned-short-lived-rock-venue, the Fortway. Chuck Berry is known to have played there in 1972...any other documented acts?
D.C. is well aware that this doesn't make up for a lack of solid posts as of late. As always, I'm workin' on it!

Chuck Berry played there with Elephant's Memory as an opening act. Some broad stripped on stage and the whole show spilled out into the nearby park as a semi-riot.
